Client Liaison Officer – Suicide Prevention
Working within your local community you will be the main contact person for the Suicide Prevention Trial site. This position will work closely with the Kimberley Aboriginal Suicide Project Coordinator to support and engage local community people in identifying, implementing and evaluating suicide prevention activities related to the Kimberley Aboriginal suicide prevention trial
Essential
♦ Sound communication skills within local community and across different family and traditional owner groups.
♦ Organise and help facilitate community meetings and gatherings with community members, services providers and specific target groups such as LGBTQI, youth etc.
♦ Participate in educational opportunities and commit to professional development (upskilling and training – including annual CLO refresher training)
♦ Patience and empathy, good team work skills, maturity and a responsible attitude with good organisation skills and the ability to work on your own.
♦ Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
Desirable
♦ Work with the community to achieve the identified key milestones in the suicide prevention project plan
♦ Be available to support families and other community members as identified
♦ Participate in weekly CLO meetings
