Client Liaison Officer – Suicide Prevention*


About the position:

Working within your local community, you will be the main contact person for the Suicide Prevention Trial Site. You will work closely with the Kimberley Aboriginal Suicide Project Coordinator to support and engage local community people in identifying, implementing and evaluating suicide prevention activities.

*Note: Aboriginality is a genuine requirement for this position as defined under Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.



  • Sound communication skills within local community and across different family and traditional owner groups.
  • Organise and help facilitate community meetings and gatherings with community members, services providers and specific target groups such as LGBTQI, youth etc.
  • Participate in educational opportunities and commit to professional development (upskilling and training – including annual CLO refresher training)
  • Patience and empathy, good team work skills, maturity and a responsible attitude with good organisation skills and the ability to work on your own.
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
