OVAHS is a not-for-profit, multidisciplinary primary health care service delivering clinical, allied health and mental health throughout Kununurra and surrounding communities. We are looking for a likeminded individual to join our team of professionals, based at our office in Kununurra.


About the role

This position provides high quality administrative support to the OVAHS CEO and Board of Directors.  Contributes to the development, refinement, and implementation of systems of continuous quality improvement within OVAHS Administration.

  1. Relevant qualifications in Business or Administration or willingness to obtain.
  2. Demonstrate experience in executive level administrative support.
  3. Demonstrate high level of verbal, oral and written communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage varied and conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines show initiative, confidentiality, discretion, with punctuality and reliability.
  5. Effective time management skills including the ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a high-volume work environment.
  6. Demonstrated range of secretarial skills with effective minute-taking, word processing, spread sheet and electronic communication
  7. Ability to work effectively and appropriately with people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent
  8. Behavioural competencies include a ‘can do’ attitude, enthusiasm, flexibility and Resilience.


  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative Acts that impact on the organisation and the subsequent accountabilities
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Descent

Legal Compliance:

  1. Able to produce a current National Police Clearance (within the last 30 days)
  2. Able to produce a current driver’s license
