NDIS Support Coordinator

We are looking for a dynamic team leader to work as part of the wider OVAHS team in Kununurra and surrounding communities, the NDIS Support Coordinator plays an integral role for NDIS participants in interpreting their NDIS plan, assisting them to establish the supports in their plan and develop their capacity over time to coordinate and manage their suitable Disability Support Providers.


Criteria for applicants

Essential

  •   We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual
    to work with OVAHS in our new NDIS program; to provide support coordination for eligible participants
  • ♦  Previous experience in community development, mental health, disability or case management
  • ♦  Demonstrated experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
    and the ability to work independently
  •   Demonstrated ability to work with a cross-cultural caseload of participants
    and maintain a high level of cultural respect
  • ♦  Highly developed interpersonal, communication, liaison and advocacy skills
  • ♦  Knowledge and experience of the NDIS Support Coordination function
    and why it is important in building a participants social capacity
    and to the overall success of the funded program

Desirable

♦ Previous experience within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service

♦ Knowledge of NDIS
