Payroll / Human Resources Officer

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Payroll / Human Resources Officer to join our team in Kununurra, WA on a full-time basis.

Criteria for applicants

Essential

♦ Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems, preferably using Reckon.

♦ Previous experience in the calculation and processing of higher level payroll process, including terminations, backpays etc.

♦ A sound and practical understanding of HR with a minimum of Certificate III in Business or relevant qualifications.

♦ Demonstrate high level of verbal, oral and written communication skills.

♦ Works effectively in a team.

♦ Effective interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution skills.

♦ Effective time management skills including the ability to multi-task and work
under pressure in a high volume work environment.

♦ Willingness to undergo training and multi-skilling.

♦ Handling sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

♦ WA Driver’s License, National Police Clearance

Desirable

♦ Knowledge and understanding of the issues pertaining to the health of Aboriginal people in rural and remote areas.

♦ Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative Acts that
impact on the organisation and the subsequent account-abilities.
