About the Opportunity
OVAHS is seeking a passionate Health Promotion Officer – Immunisation to join our dedicated team in Kununurra, WA. This is a full-time fixed-term role until 30 June 2027, with potential for extension.
In this impactful role, you will work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, health professionals, and partner organisations to promote the benefits of immunisation through culturally safe, respectful, and evidence-based health promotion initiatives. You will support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of community education programs, strengthen awareness of routine and targeted immunisation, and contribute to improving health outcomes by increasing immunisation uptake across the community.

About You
You are a motivated and community-minded person - your strengths lie in your ability to build relationships, engage communities, and deliver culturally safe and relevant health promotion strategies.
You will also demonstrate:

Knowledge of Health Promotion or Immunisation strategies, or a willingness to learn.

Experience working with or alongside Aboriginal communities.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.

A valid driver’s licence
