About the Opportunity

OVAHS is currently seeking a dedicated and organised Gardener Maintenance Worker to join our team in Kununurra, WA on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will assist with repairs, improvements, and upkeep of OVAHS properties, assist with maintenance of plumbing, air conditioners, hot water system, gas and change oven gas bottles, attend to basic vehicle maintenance, participate in emergency evacuation drills, maintenance of gardens and developing of common areas, pathways and common rounds, plus more.

About You

You are a reliable and hardworking individual with a genuine interest in outdoor work and maintaining attractive, safe, and functional spaces. With hands-on experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, or general labouring, you take pride in delivering high-quality results and working efficiently to keep outdoor areas well-presented.

You have practical knowledge of lawn care, planting, pruning, and the safe use of tools and equipment, along with a commitment to workplace safety. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and you bring a proactive, can-do attitude to all tasks. Your flexibility, physical fitness, and attention to detail ensure that gardens and grounds are maintained to a high standard year-round.

  • Specific benefits include:

    • Base Wage: $72,542.91 (dependent on Qualifications and experience) per annum pro rata + Super
    • 5 weeks annual leave per year
    • Additional paid leave over the end of year closure period, as per leave policy
    • Annual flight allowance 
    • Accommodation allowance
    • Sociable hours (Mon-Fri office hours)
