OVAHS is a not-for-profit, multidisciplinary primary health care service delivering clinical, allied health and mental health throughout Kununurra and surrounding communities. We are looking for a like minded individual to join our team of professionals, based at our office in Kununurra.


About the role

This position is responsible for undertaking the development of key OVAHS initiatives related to community awareness raising, health promotion and self-advocacy, capacity building for aboriginal people living in the East Kimberley with a disability. The role works as part of the OVAHS team in providing a quality and person-centered health care, whilst ensuring the focus of care is on the needs of Aboriginal patients within the context of the persons cultural identity, family, and social circumstances.

  1. Above award wage: ACCHS Award 2020, Grade 5: $86,619.94 – $90,267.63
  2. Rental allowance – $6240 per annum pro rata
  3. 12-month Annual Airfare $1800 on continued service
  4. 5 weeks accrued Annual leave per annum
  5. Additional 2-weeks of paid leave over the Christmas closure period, inclusive of public holidays
